Life is a surrealistic miniature monochrome blue artwork on a shell by the talented artist Negar Rashidi.In this miniature artwork of approximately 8cm in the shell, we see an anatomically correct heart from which flowers sprout. Flowers have long been a staple of Negar Rashidi's oeuvre, often they are peonies. What makes these flowers stand out, is that it is a collection of different flowers grouped together in a bouquet, but sprouting from this heart.

Negar Rashidi has an excellent technique and loves capturing the fine details of a myriad of delicate fauna and flora. In this painting fauna and flora come together. The heart has a vein flowing down on the right side. It looks a lot like a plant's root. The bouquet and heart are connected as one living thing. It is beautiful as it is surreal. The heart flowers beauty.

The golden baroque frames this miniature in a larger than life ostentatiousness. Adding weight and brevity to this tiny detailed work of art.
